First cargo ship at Vizhinjam Port gets official reception; CM inaugurates trial run

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The formal reception ceremony for San Fernando, the first cargo ship to arrive at Vizhinjam Port, has begun. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan officially inaugurated the trial run at the event organised in the port.

Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is the chief guest on the occasion. Kerala Ports Department Minister VN Vasavan will preside over the function. Ministers V Sivankutty, K Rajan, KN Balagopal, Saji Cheriyan, GR Anil, MPs Shashi Tharoor, AA Rahim, M Vincent MLA, Mayor Arya Rajendran, Director General of Shipping Shyam Jagannathan, Adani Group Managing Director Karan Adani, Pradeep Jayaraman, VISL MD Divya S. Iyer are also participating in the function.
