Asked to pay for petrol, policeman drives off with petrol pump employee on car bonnet; case registered

KANNUR: Policeman who was asked to pay for the petrol he filled, drives off with the petrol pump employee on the bonnet. The incident took place at Bharat Petrol Pump in Kannur Talap. It was Santhosh, the driver from Kannur AR camp, who committed the violation. A case was registered against him for attempted murder. It is reported that departmental action including suspension will be taken against the policeman.

The policeman's frightful reaction happened when the pump employee Anil tried to stop the car, which was trying to leave without paying the full amount after filling the petrol. Anil, a native of Pallikulam, was taken on the bonnet of the car. The policeman was driving off with Anil on the bonnet when Anil asked him to pay for the petrol. The pump staff said that 2100 rupees worth of fuel was filled and the policeman paid 1900 rupees and tried to leave with the vehicle saying that that's all he can pay.
