Government should not forget that it has the responsibility of taking care of Joy's family: Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan paid tributes to Joy who went missing while cleaning the Amayizhanchan canal. The leader of the opposition said that it was the poor man's helplessness that made him jump into the dirty water without any safety system. He thanked the Fire Force, NDRF, Scuba Team, Navy, Sanitation Workers, Police, Media and others who participated in the rescue operation.

Condolences to Joy. How many good human hearts must have prayed for Joy... All prayers failed. It must have been the poor man's helplessness that made him jump into the dirty water without any safety system. However, he is a victim of the negligence and mismanagement of the administration.

Within hours of a man's disappearance, tons of garbage were removed with the help of machines. What was the problem with doing this earlier? Joy's lifeless body was found at the end of an arduous task of more than 46 hours. Thanks to Fire Force, NDRF, Scuba Team, Navy, Sanitation Workers, Police, Media and everyone involved in this mission.

The government should not forget that it also has the responsibility of taking care of Joy's family, including his elderly mother. I too am joining with everyone grieving.
