Sree Narayana Guru Mission of UK to celebrate Guru Jayanthi on Sep 7

The Sree Narayana Guru Mission of the United Kingdom will be organising Guru Jayanthi celebrations this year on September 7, along with Onam, a major festival for most of our members. It will be an entirely a “free for all” event where we entertain our members and others, from all walks of the community.

The Drama 'Athamroopan' scripted and directed by Vijayakumar Pillai will be one of the highlights this year. The drama is based on the poetry 'Leela' by Kumaranashan. Additionally, there will be a musical performance headed by Navadhara with lead vocalists Rajesh Raman and his daughter Lakshmi Raman.

Renowned speakers from Kerala and the UK will give philosophical talks on the teachings of the guru. In addition, there will be a short story writing competition organized by DarlyVision Productions. The closing date for that competition is mid-August.

Onam Sadya will be served on September 22nd at SNGM Hall Eastham and on 31st August at Croydon Centre. There will be a variety of other cultural entertainments and prize distributions for the best students of our education centre.
