MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court ordered Binoy Kodiyeri, son of CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, arraigned in a sexual abuse case, to give his blood samples for the DNA test. The division bench of the Bombay High Court directed him to conduct the DNA test tomorrow and submit the report within two weeks. The results should be submitted in a sealed cover to the registrar. The court passed the order while considering his plea seeking cancellation of the FIR in the sexual abuse case. Meantime, Binoy has informed the court that he is ready to give his blood samples for the DNA test.

Binoy, who appeared before the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai today did not give his blood samples for the DNA test. Binoy refused to give his blood samples pointing the plea filed in the high court seeking cancellation of the FIR. Binoy had earlier cited health issues for not giving the blood samples. The woman and her advocate had alleged that failure to provide blood samples is a violation of bail conditions.
