SHIRUR: The strong undercurrent in the Gangavali river has yet again impeded the search operation for missing truck driver Arjun. The Navy also stopped their rescue mission for the day citing the difficulty in tackling the river current. The family of Arjun will have to wait for another day, with ambiguity looming large over the disappearance.

Meanwhile, the officials confirmed that the truck found in the river belonged to Arjun. However, the team haven’t yet located the cabin portion. Iboard team have received signals confirming the presence of metals under the river.

Iboard tests have received signals confirming the presence of metal under the river. A search by the navy down the river to find the truck will not happen soon. The officials informed that the divers were not able to go deeper.

Meanwhile, the lorry owner Manaf responded that the timber in the vehicle had been found. Four pieces of wood were found 12 km away. PA 1 is written on the wood and was identified by it.

The officials hoped to complete the operation by this evening. However, the weather is unfavourable. There is a rain warning in Uttara Kannada today. The weather turned villain when the mission reached its critical phase yesterday.

Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and the army confirmed yesterday at 3.30 pm that the truck was found at a depth of 20 meters on the banks of the Gangavali river adjacent to the national highway, during the navy's sonar and the army's radar scans. Arjun has been missing for ten days.
