'I second Muraleedharan's statement about Wayanad landslides' , says V D Satheesan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala’s opposition leader V D Satheesan seconded the statement from BJP leader V Muraleedharan that a 'national disaster' has not been under the Central Act since the UPA regime.

“There is truth in Muraleedharan’s statement. I have studied the matter in detail and I know it. Any disaster of serious magnitude is termed as L0. L1 is said to be manageable by local administration. L2 is said to be manageable by the state government. L3 requires assistance from the central government. In my knowledge, the Wayanad disaster should be put in the L3 category.”

“There is nothing like 'national disaster' in India anymore. The magnitude of the disaster will be gauged and assistance will be offered. The disaster in Wayanad is among the worst the country has seen and will have all helping hands from the central government.”
