WASHINGTON DC: The Democratic Party has announced Tim Walz as its Vice President candidate in the US Presidential election. Tim Walz was declared the vice presidential candidate by US presidential candidate Kamala Harris. 60-year-old Walz is currently serving as the Governor of Minnesota. He is the chairman of the Democratic Governors Association. He was a high school teacher and football coach before entering politics.
Walz also served in the Army National Guard for 24 years. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2006. He became Governor of Minnesota in 2018. In 2022, he was elected the Governor of Minnesota for the second time. He was also praised for his activities during the Covid period. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has come out in support of Walz. Walz will take on Republican candidate JD Vance in the election.
