Shirur rescue mission: Final decision within two days

BENGALURU: A decision to resume the rescue operation for missing truck driver Arjun in Shirur will be made within two days. Manjeswaram MLA A K M Ashraf received a notification from the Karnataka CM regarding the water level dropping in the Ganagavali River. They will decide to resume the rescue operation after consulting with the Navy.

Currently, the Gangavali River is flowing at a speed of four knots. According to MLA Ashraf, the speed should fall into the two knots category for the operation to be resumed. Officials of the naval headquarters in Kochi and Karwar will discuss the matter and find a solution as soon as possible.

AKM Ashraf MLA met Karnataka Chief Minister's special officer at Bangalore Vidhana Soudha and was assured of a decision within two days.
