Fell on road while trying avoid pothole; ex-serviceman run over by bus

PALAKKAD: In a tragic incident, an ex-serviceman was killed in a bus accident in Palakkad. The incident took place in Pattambi in Palakkad. The deceased has been identified as Paruthoor native Sajeesh (42). He was travelling on his scooter when he slipped and fell on the road while trying to avoid falling into a pothole. A bus, which came from behind, ran over him before he could get up.

The accident took place this afternoon. Sajeesh was travelling from Shoranur to Paruthoor when he met with the accident. He was run over by a bus that was travelling from Shoranur to Pattambi. Although Sajeesh was rushed to a private hospital in Pattambi and later to another hospital in Vaniyamkulam, his life could not be saved. The body is currently kept at a private hospital in Vaniyamkulam. The Pattambi-Mele Pattambi road is completely damaged. This is where the accident occurred and the ex-serviceman died.
