'16 years of dedication, Blessy proved critics wrong' ; Prithviraj Sukumaran responds after winning state award

The epic novel turned film masterpiece ‘Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life’ bagged top honors at the 54th Kerala state film award on Friday. Amidst the jubilance, actor Prithviraj responded to the media about his third-best actor state award and ‘Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life’.

'I am most happy for the recognition bestowed on Blessy. The biggest recognition we have received is the love shown by people when the film hit the theatres. Thank you everyone. Every movie requires special effort from actors and for me, ‘Goat Life’ made me work at a rate I have hitherto not attempted. It is a great pleasure to receive such recognition for that effort. During 2008-2009, when the movie was initially planned, many people were sceptical and opined that the movie adaptation would be nearly impossible. Blessy proved them wrong.

He deserves the biggest credit. His single-minded focus is the biggest reason why this film was realized. None of us would be talking about ‘Goat Life’ today if not for the sixteen years sacrificed by director Blessy.” said Prithviraj Sukumaran.
