KOCHI: An actress revealed that a 16-year-old girl and her mother were sexually assaulted at a shooting location. The incident happened on the location of the film ‘One Way Ticket’ released in 2008, said the actress while talking to Times of India. The film directed by Bipin Prabhakar had Prithviraj and Bhama in lead roles and Mammootty in a cameo role.
The crew asked the girl and her mother to stay in the room near to the shooting location. The stayed there for around two-weeks but were not taken to the location. During that period, the two was sexually abused by several crew members including the cameramen and the technicians of the film. The actress said that the victims narrated their ordeal to her. The actress reportedly said in an interview to a television channel that they had no direct contact with senior technicians of the film, including the film's director.
Soon after the Hema Committee report was released, allegations and complaints were raised against many from the film industry. Directors Ranjith, Thulasidas, V K Prakash and actors Siddique, Riyas Khan, Baburaj, Mukesh, Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju, Edavela Babu and production controllers Noble, Vichu, ad director Sreekumar Menon face sexual allegation charges.
