THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: New details have emerged regarding the harassment complaint filed against Mansoor Rasheed, the assistant director of the movie Bro Daddy. The complainant has alleged that Mansoor, who is being protected by a prominent CPM leader from Kollam, ruined her family life. She made these revelations in a recent media interview.

According to the woman's complaint, Mansoor drugged and raped her at a hotel in Hyderabad. She claims that despite the seriousness of the allegations, Mansoor continued to receive protection from J Kunhi Chanthu, a CPM local committee member in Kalapana West. The woman further alleged that Mansoor was initially included in the movie Empuran despite the complaint, although he was eventually removed after the issue gained attention.

The woman also provided evidence that the production team booked her hotel room and flight ticket through MakeMyTrip. After filing a complaint in Hyderabad, the police reportedly collected CCTV footage from the hotel as part of their investigation. She plans to submit a formal complaint to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by Thiruvananthapuram Range DIG Ajitha Begam.

The complainant accused the CPM leadership of failing to take any action despite her repeated pleas. She said that she had reached out to Minister for Culture Saji Cherian and CPM State Committee member K Varadarajan in 2021, but received no response. She further alleged that a malicious campaign was conducted against her and her son, orchestrated by local party leaders.

Mansoor allegedly went into hiding when Hyderabad police came to Kerala searching for him, with phone tracking records reportedly supporting this claim. The woman now resides in Hyderabad, where she says she is living in fear for her life.

The SIT is expected to receive the woman's formal complaint via email today, which will include the details of the harassment case initially filed in Hyderabad.
