In a candid interview, actress Shakeela shared her experiences working on film sets, revealing some of the challenges and behind-the-scenes realities of the industry. She mentioned that while it was often easy to change clothes on set, there were times when she had to change in less comfortable conditions, such as by covering herself with a cloth while shooting in remote locations.
"Now there are caravans. But are caravans only used for changing clothes? There's a lot more going on. Dinner, lunch, sex—everything happens there. I haven't seen it myself, but I've heard about it," Shakeela stated.
She also spoke about missed opportunities in her career, recalling a role she played that was akin to Mother Teresa. "It’s been 15 years now, and they still haven't released it. I even asked the director not to release it. He said he doesn't see sex in my eyes, but mercy. That's why I did it, but it hasn't been released yet," she explained, adding that she only fears God.
Shakeela also recounted a troubling incident where she witnessed an actor knocking on actress Rupashree's door, claiming she intervened to help. She pointed out that such incidents are common across all languages in the film industry.
"There's always been a power group in Malayalam cinema, and they still dominate the industry. Who else is in the power group but Mohanlal and Mammootty? Mukesh and others are there too, but the main ones are Mohanlal and Mammootty," Shakeela remarked.
