Manichitrathazhu just a beginning; two more re-releases to happen soon; Mohanlal reveals which movies from 90s will hit screens

Fazil directed Manichitrathazhu is an all time classic Malayalam film. The film, which featured Mohanlal, Sureshgopi, Shobhana, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Thilakan, Vinayaprasad and KPAC Lalitha, was a huge success even when it was re-released last month.

Now, two more super hit films of Mohanlal are coming to the screens after Manichitrathazhu. Mohanlal revealed this in an interview given to Kaumudy TV. Tamil film Iruvar, directed by Mani Ratnam, is a film that is gearing up for re-release. Released in 1996, Iruvar was based on the political and cinematic lives of MGR, Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's film debut was also through Iruvar.
The second upcoming re-release is Aaraam Thampuran, directed by Shaji Kailas. Starring Manju Warrier, Narendra Prasad, Sai Kumar, Kochin Hanifa and others, the film broke box office records. The film was released in December 1997. At the same time, the actor also clarified that Mohanlal's other superhit film Chithram will not be re-released.
