DHAKA: The Bangladesh cricket team's India tour will begin on September 19. The first match of the two-Test series will be played in Chennai. The second Test will begin on September 27 in Kanpur. Bangladesh team will play against India with the confidence of beating Pakistan 2-0 in the Test series at home. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto said the win against Pakistan has given them the confidence to take on India.
The captain has revealed what is their biggest concern when they come to play Test matches in India. Shanto said the Bangladesh team is not afraid of India's star players like captain Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. "We are concerned about something else, which is about the SG company's red balls that are used for Test matches in India," Shanto said.
In other places, the ball of the Kookaburra Compan is used. The Bangladesh captain also said that the lack of experience in playing with SG balls is a challenge. Shanto admits that India is a very good team and it will be very difficult to face them.
Bangladesh, who have been playing Test cricket for 24 years, are yet to beat India in this format. Out of the 13 times they have faced each other, India has won 11 and two have ended in draws.
