Two people arrested for selling arrack under guise of kulukki sarbath in Kochi

KOCHI: The Excise have arrested two persons for selling arrack under the guise of kulukki sarbath in Kakkanad. The arrest was made following an investigation conducted based on the tip-off received by the Excise department. 20 litres of illicit liquor, 950 litres of wash and equipment used for distillation were seized during the investigation.

Meanwhile, an Excise team raided and destroyed an arrack manufacturing unit in Kothamangalam the other day. The arrack manufacturing unit in Munippara was destroyed during the raid conducted by the Excise team in Mamalakandam.
