Superhit movie 'Vaazha' to hit Hotstar next week; OTT release date announced

'Vaazha', which created waves at the box office, is now coming to OTT. The makers have released the date of the film's OTT release. The streaming of the film will start on the 23rd of this month (September) on Hotstar. Directed by Anand Menon, the film stars Hashir, Saaf Bros, Joemon Jyothir, Alan, Vinayak and Ajin Joy in the lead roles.

Vipin Das, the director of super hit films like Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hay and Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, has penned the script. The film is produced by Vipin Das, Harris Desam, PB Aneesh and Adarsh Narayan under the banner of WBTS Productions, Imagine Cinemas, Icon Studios and Signature Studios.

Vaazha, which was released on August 15, earned Rs 1.44 crore on its first day. In three days, the gross collection from theatres in Kerala was Rs 5.40 crore. A sum of Rs 4 crore was spent on the film and so far the film has collected Rs 20 crore.

After the huge success of 'Vaazha', the makers had announced the second part as well. The second part is titled 'Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros'. At the end of Vaazha, there were hints of a second part in which Hashir and his team will play the lead. The second part will be directed by debutant Savin SA.
