Schoolgirls fall into trap after befriending on Instagram, given drugs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A young man was arrested for giving drugs to schoolgirls he met through Instagram. Shyam Madhav (43), a resident of Neyyatinkara Aralumoodu, was taken into custody by a special team of the district police chief.

The method of the accused was to give drugs to the girls by establishing friendship through Instagram. The accused had befriended one girl and lured more girls through her. The accused also handed over intoxicating pills to them. It is indicated that many female students have fallen into his trap in Neyyattinkara region.

According to the police, Shyam Madhav, who runs a pig farm, is an accused in five criminal cases at Neyyattinkara and Balaramapuram stations. The police team is interrogating the accused in detail.
