KANNUR: A three-and-half-year-old boy sustained serious injuries in a fall at the Anganwadi. The incident happened at Vediveppinchal in Kannur. The boy’s parents complained that the staff of Anganwadi did not take him to the hospital.

They also alleged that they were not informed about the boy’s injury. The boy is undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College due to internal bleeding. The boy's father said that he would file a complaint with the police.

The boy fell in the Anganwadi yesterday afternoon. They came to know about the fall only when they came to pick the boy. The teacher told them that medicine has been applied to the wound. The child had high fever after reaching home. Only when they took him to the hospital, they came to know about the injury which was very deep. He was later shifted to the medical college hospital. The father alleged that the boy was treated by the Anganwadi staff and was not taken to the hospital.
