Indian bride for Pakistan cricketer; will convert to Islam after marriage

NEW DELHI: It is an open-kept secret about Pakistan's craze for Bollywood actresses. This has also resulted in many marriages while the spotlight fell on marriages between Pak cricketers and Indian models. It all started with Pakistani player Shoaib Malik and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza's marriage and then Hassan Ali followed suit.

And now, keeping up with the trend, yet another Pakistan cricketer is all set to get hitched to an Indian model. Pakistan's left-arm spinner Raza Hassan has shared pictures of his engagement to an Indian-origin woman. Pakistani media reports that the bride will soon convert to Islam.

'Finally, we are embarking on a new journey of our lives' - Raza Hassan wrote on social media. According to reports, the marriage may take place in January and February. Raza, 32, is now living in the US after leaving Pakistan.

According to Pakistani media, Raza Hassan's fiancee is Pooja Boman. It is reported that 32-year-old Pooja is now settled in the US.

Raza Hassan has also released a statement through the media sharing his new happiness. He indicated that Pooja comes from a Hindu religious background. However, he noted that Pooja is interested in Islam and is willing to convert for him.
