Youth jumps in front of bus after girlfriend's accident death

CHENNAI: Devastated over the death of his girlfriend in a bike accident, a youth jumped in front of a bus and committed suicide. The accident took place on the Tamil Nadu East Coast Road. Sabrina (21) and Yogeswaran (20), both engineering students from Madurantakam, died in the tragic incident.

Both were going to Mamallapuram on Yogeswaran's bike. The accident happened when the Puducherry Road Transport bus hit their bike at Poonjeri junction. Sabrina fell on the road and hit her head on the asphalt. She was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.

On hearing the news of Sabrina's death, Yogeswaran ran from the hospital and jumped in front of another bus that was going to Puducherry. The youth died on the spot. The police arrested the drivers of both the buses.
