In a Facebook post, Salim Kumar shared that he is entering his 55th year, expressing gratitude for the love and support from those who have journeyed alongside him. He reflected on how the sun of his life has now begun to set in the west, unsure of how much longer he will be able to keep rowing forward.

'Today, I embark on my 55th year, having navigated 54 milestones in the vast ocean of life. I'm grateful for the love and encouragement of my fellow travellers, who have accompanied me thus far. The sun of my lifespan has tilted to the west. The horizon of sunset is not far away in this vast ocean. Somewhere, a whirlpool may be transforming for me. Until I get trapped in it, I have to continue my journey with this boat. Holes have started forming in my boat. I am continuing the journey after scooping out the water that has entered through these holes. I don't know how long I can sail this way, but I'll keep going. I need your blessings,' Salim Kumar wrote.
