‘Anyone helping Salman Khan, be prepared’; Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility for Baba Siddique's murder

MUMBAI: The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddique, a former minister of Maharashtra and leader of the NCP Ajit Pawar faction. Siddique was shot last evening in front of the office of his son and sitting MLA of Bandra.

A Facebook post shared by a Bishnoi gang member said Siddique was targeted because of his ties to Bollywood star Salman Khan and his association with underworld heroes like Dawood Ibrahim. The note also mentioned about Anuj Thappan, accused in the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence, who later committed suicide in police custody.

We have no personal enmity with anyone. However, anyone who helps Salman Khan or the Dawood gang should be prepared. We will respond if anyone gets any of our brothers killed. We never attack first.ട

Two were arrested in connection with Siddique's murder. Police said the two identified as Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap are members of the Bishnoi gang. They have admitted this in the interrogation. The search is on for the third person involved in the gang.
