Seven employees were arrested yesterday on a complaint filed by nine employees (eight women and one man). The Women's Commission has registered a case in the incident and formed a special committee to study the matter. The members of this committee will visit the Nashik office today and collect evidence.
In the wake of the investigation, the TCS outsourcing center has been temporarily suspended. Work from home has been introduced. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran had ordered an internal investigation. The women employees recently revealed the planned move that happened in the office.
The help of the NIA and the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has been sought to find out whether the arrested received help from terrorist organizations and foreign aid. Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik said that all the six men arrested behaved like a single gang.
