NEW DELHI: There was a bomb threat on an Air India flight from Mumbai to New York. Following this, the plane made an emergency landing at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Officials said the passengers are safe and further checks are underway.
The flight took off from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport at two o'clock in the morning today. The message about the bomb threat was received shortly after the flight took off. Due to this, the plane landed in Delhi. According to the police, there were 239 passengers on board. The bomb threat message was received through a post on X. An Air India spokesperson said that all measures are being taken to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
On October 9, the Vistara flight from London to Delhi received a bomb threat. The threatening message was found in the lavatory of the plane on its way to London with 290 passengers. A message was found on a paper which read ‘bomb this flight’. With this, the aircraft landed in Delhi and carried out detailed checks. In the statement issued by Vistara Airlines, it was stated that nothing suspicious was found during the inspection.
