Attention expats; Airline reduces baggage allowance; to be implemented from October 27

RIYADH: The Kingdom of Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air has issued a special advisory for its passengers. The quantity of baggage that passengers can carry has been reduced. 23+23 kg of baggage was allowed in economy class earlier. It has been significantly reduced. Gulf Air has announced that the revised baggage policy will come into effect from October 27.

The baggage has been reduced to 25 kg in the economy class light category. The baggage allowance has been increased to 30 kg in the economy class smart category and 35 kg in the flex category. The luggage within the specified weight can be carried in a maximum of five bags. Each bag should not exceed 158 cm in total quantity. In business classes, 40 kg of luggage will be allowed in Business Smart and 50 kg in Business Flex. Additional fees will be charged for overloaded baggage, the notification said. Children have been allotted 10 kg, a stroller and a car seat.
