KANNUR: ADM Naveen Babu sent his last messages to two officials of Kannur Collectorate before his death. He sent the phone numbers of his wife and daughter to the officials. The message was sent from his phone at 4.58 am last Tuesday.

The officials saw the message only at 6 am. Meanwhile, the news of Naveen Babu's death was out. The postmortem report of Naveen Babu has been released. He died between 4.30 am and 5.30 am. The postmortem report said that he committed suicide. There are no marks or injuries on his body. The postmortem report has been handed over to the police.

Naveen was found hanging in his quarters at Pallikunnu in Kannur last Tuesday morning. A farewell was given to the ADM in the presence of the district collector following his transfer to his hometown Pathanamthitta. There was only seven months left for him to retire. Kannur's former district panchayat president P P Divya who came uninvited to the function raised allegations of corruption against Naveen. Divya's hurtful words were related to giving NOC to a petrol pump of T V Prasanthan at Chengalayi, Sreekandapuram. She said that she has all the information and things would be clear in two days and left the stage saying that she did not want to be there while presenting the memento to the ADM. Naveen was found hanging the next morning.
