THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have given a clean chit to Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor Arya Rajendran and her husband Sachin Dev MLA in the incident where they got involved in a dispute with KSRTC driver Yadhu in the middle of the road in Thiruvananthapuram city. The police report submitted in court states that Sachin Dev did not forcibly enter the bus. The MLA entered the bus after Yadhu opened the door as per the direction of the conductor, the report said.

In his complaint, Yadhu had accused Sachin Dev MLA of forcibly entering the bus and using abusive language against him. However, the police report states that the case won't stand in court as there's no evidence to support the claim that Sachin Dev entered the bus without permission. The case is being considered by the Thiruvananthapuram First Class Magistrate Court. The verdict will be delivered on the 30th. Additionally, the police report states that there are no witnesses to confirm that the Mayor or her husband used objectionable language during the incident.

The report states that Yadhu was not driving on the allotted route. The bus, which should have travelled to Thambanoor via Bakery Junction, was travelling through the PMG-Palayam-VJT route when the incident took place. The report also stated that Yadhu has various cases in his name in the Nemom, Peroorkada, and Thambanoor police stations.
