One killed, three seriously injured in lorry-car collision in Ernakulam

KOCHI: One person was killed after a taurus lorry collided with a car at Irumpanam in Ernakulam. The dead has been identified as Josh. Three people sustained serious injuries in the accident. The seriously injured Ajith, Renji and Jithin have been admitted at a private hospital in Kakkanad.

The accident happened early Thursday morning near the Irumpanam bridge. The lorry laden with cement collided with the car coming from Karingachira.

Rescue operations were conducted by the people who were in the spot. The people in the car were taken out and taken to the hospital but the life of the driver could not be rescued. The car of Kanjirappaly registration is in the name of a native of Tripunithura.
