MUMBAI: Mumbai police have arrested a 24-year-old woman from Thane’s Ullas Nagar for allegedly threatening to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The woman, identified as Fatima Khan, allegedly sent a message to the Mumbai Police Traffic Control Cell, demanding Adityanath resign within ten days or face death.
Following an investigation, police traced the message to Khan, an IT graduate who reportedly suffers from mental health issues. Security for the Uttar Pradesh CM has been tightened in response to the threat.
This incident follows the recent assassination of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office on October 12. Police believe the murder was orchestrated by the Bishnoi gang. The suspects reportedly claimed their motive was Siddique's association with Salman Khan, whom the gang considers an enemy.
In the aftermath of the killing, Salman Khan received several death threats, leading to an increase in his security detail. The actor has also upgraded his vehicle collection with bulletproof cars and additional security features amid the rising threats.
