'I don't have strength even to remove booth president, then how will I remove big leaders?'; C Krishnakumar responds

PALAKKAD: C Krishnakumar, the BJP candidate in Palakkad, has responded to Sandeep Varier's statements against him. Speaking to a media outlet, Krishnakumar said that he is not someone who is big enough to suppress or intimidate Sandeep Varier.

"I don't have the strength even to remove a booth president. Then how can I remove a big leader from the party? The BJP will survive the current crisis. None of the issues raised by Sandeep will affect the party in Palakkad. Development is the only topic of discussion here. We need development, not controversies. The voting was first scheduled on the day of Kalpathi Ratholsavam to hinder the BJP's chances of winning in Palakkad. Both fronts tried to reduce BJP votes in Kalpathy, using various strategies," Krishnakumar said.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Varier said that he was standing firm on his statements against Krishnakumar and the state leadership of BJP. He said that the leaders' visit to his house should not be interpreted as a discussion. The RSS had directed Sandeep Varier to refrain from making public statements. Sandeep has been directed not to respond further to the media.
