Two youths nabbed in Kozhikode for dumping toilet waste in public spaces

KOZHIKODE: The police have arrested two youths for habitually dumping toilet waste in public spaces. Ramanattukara native Ajmal (26) and Feroke native Abdul Manaf (38) were arrested by the Kunnamangalam police the other day. According to the police, the accused are the ones who undertake contract work for cleaning toilet waste.

The accused were nabbed while they were dumping toilet waste into an open drain near the bus stop on Cherinchal Road in Kunnamangalam. Both of them have been booked under Section 271 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 120 of the Kerala Police Act. The lorry used for illegal dumping has also been seized. According to the police, the accused used to collect toilet waste from various locations, load it onto a vehicle, and then dump it in isolated areas.

The two were nabbed while dumping toilet waste brought from Koduvally. The accused were arrested by a police team comprising Kunnamangalam SI Ummar TK, Senior Civil Police Officer Biju and Civil Police Officer Akhil.
