PP Divya expresses displeasure over CPM's disciplinary action

KANNUR: CPM functionary PP Divya has made public her resentment over CPM's decision to remove her from all party posts. Divya, the former district panchayat president of Kannur, said it was unwanted for the party to go with disciplinary action in haste while she was still in jail.

It is reported that Divya expressed her displeasure to the leaders who spoke to her on the phone and complained about the party's stance of not hearing her side of the case.

The CPM Kannur district committee meeting on Friday decided to demote Divya to branch committee. The state secretariat which met online last night approved this. ​The meeting concluded that it was peevish from Divya to intrude into the farewell function and humiliate ADM Naveen Babu. Divya is now demoted to Irinave Dam branch. Demotion to branch membership is the second-highest disciplinary action in the CPM.
