KANNUR: CPM leader EP Jayarajan stated that BJP leader Sobha Surendran was behind the rumours that he was planning to join the BJP. This was mentioned in EP Jayarajan's autobiography 'Kattan Chaayayum Parippuvadayum Oru Communistukarante Jeevithathil.' It is hinted that the autobiography also mentions that Prakash Javadekar had called EP's son on the phone and that Javadekar had come to his house along with Dallal Nandakumar.
'I met Sobha Surendran only once and that too during the funeral ceremony of Oommen Chandy. Prakash Javadekar called my son on the phone and asked him whether father was at home. Javadekar came to the house soon after. He visited me as part of visiting all political leaders after taking up the post of Kerala Prabhari,' EP Jayarajan wrote.
Meanwhile, Jayarajan has lashed out at the second Pinarayi government in the autobiography. He stated that the party and the government should correct their mistakes and that he was removed from the post of LDF convener without hearing his version. He also alleged that there was a conspiracy behind the discussions surrounding his meeting with Prakash Javadekar before the Lok Sabha elections.
However, EP Jayarajan has come out saying that the reports about some of the contents in his autobiography are baseless. He alleged that the media are reporting things that are not at all mentioned in the autobiography. He alleged that there was a conspiracy behind such reports coming out on the day of election.
