'Will not allow EP to end up like TP Chandrasekaran'; BJP state chief K Surendran extends support to E P Jayarajan

PALAKKAD: BJP state president K Surendran exploited the chance to score a political brownie over E P Jayarajan’s controversial autobiography. Jayarajan in his autobiography had severely criticized Palakkad LDF candidate P Sarin, calling him an opportunist. Surendran extolled Jayarajan for speaking out the general sentiments of people in Kerala.

K SURENDRAN:

“The Palakkad LDF candidate Dr Sarin, during the CAA protest, hung a board in front of his house saying that he would deny treatment to anyone supporting the CAA bill. The same man is now running from one temple to another in gimmick and is always seen sporting a sandal paste across his forehead. He is nothing more than an opportunist.

Sarin was made a candidate only for CPM cadres to cross-vote to UDF. However, this time, UDF will end up surprised as most CPM cadres will vote for BJP candidate Krishnakumar. Jayarajan in his autobiography has minced no words in his criticism of the Pinarayi government. What happened in Bengal and Tripura is becoming a reality in Kerala too. I can’t help but appreciate EP Jayarajan for showing the guts to reveal the truth. Pinarayi has turned the whole CPM into a family business. The power will be soon transferred to his son-in-law. CPM has sidelined key leaders like MA Baby, G. Sudhakaran, Thomas Isaac and KK Shailaja. The party is heading to a collapse.

BJP will not allow CPM to mete out the same treatment it gave for rebel T P Chandrasekaran. Prakash Javadekar had met with people including CPI leader Binoy Viswom. However, EP bore the brunt and was removed from the post of left convener. It was a denial of justice. What is wrong with political leaders meeting each other and why was EP Jayarajan specifically targeted?"
