Twin cyclonic circulation: Rain to intensify in Kerala for next five days, yellow alert issued for eleven districts today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that isolated places in Kerala are likely to receive thundershowers for the next five days. A yellow alert has been issued for eleven districts today. According to the IMD, the rain will intensify in the state in the coming days as one cyclonic circulation lies over southern Tamil Nadu and another over Lakshadweep.

A yellow alert has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts today. Isolated heavy rainfall has been predicted in these districts. These places will receive 64.5-115.5 mm of rainfall in 24 hours.

14-11-2024: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kasaragod
15-11-2024: Alappuzha and Thrissur
16-11-2024: Ernakulam
