Actress Nayanthara had the other day harshly criticised actor and producer Dhanush. The spat was over a Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’.
The ongoing feud between the two is for including a three second BTS clip from her film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, produced by Dhanush and directed by Vignesh Sivan, in the documentary.
Nayanthara alleged that Dhanush demanded Rs 10 crore for his copyright claim. In an open letter posted on Instagram, Nayanthara also alleged that Dhanush had approached the court demanding compensation of 10 crores for using a BTS video of only three seconds.
#Nayanthara didn't even take money for dancing in the movie #Dhanush production Ethir Neechal. Even she can demand atleast 2-3 crores for that song #Dhanush #Amaran pic.twitter.com/RTVNMZ19m9

Meanwhile, in an old interview making rounds on the internet, Dhanush referred to Nayanthara as a friend and said that she acted in a song for free. She had agreed to do a song for his film 'Ethir Neechal'. A video of Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan, the hero of the film, talking about this in an interview is going viral. Dhanush is heard saying that she didn’t even take money for dancing in the film. She could have demanded Rs 2-3 crore for that song.
