KANNUR: The Special Investigation Team is showing reluctance to find out the truth behind Prashanth's false complaint; a crucial thread in the investigation into ADM Naveen Babu's death. Soon after the news of ADM Naveen Babu's death came to light, a complaint filed by a petrol pump applicant TV Prashanthan against the ADM for demanding bribe started circulating on social media.
The complaint started with the line “former ADM Naveen Babu” which itself gives away the fact that it was prepared only after Naveen’s death. The media had brought out the discrepancy between the name and signature of the complainant. As per rumours, the whole complaint controversy to provide a bulwark to PP Divya, was orchestrated by a strong CPM leader from Thiruvananthapuram. This CPM leader is directly related to Prasanthan which makes the whole issue murkier. And now, moves are made to close this case without inviting any controversy.
TV Prashanthan stated to the Special Investigation Team that he often used two signatures. A handwriting check would have brought out the signature fallacy but the police are not in the mood for any scientific investigation.
1. Complaint could have been directed to the District Collector and Vigilance. Why was the Chief Minister's office involved instead?
2. Through which social media accounts was the letter of complaint released and circulated?
3. What made the investigation lagging into PP Divya’s connection with the petrol pump?
4. It is clear that ADM Naveen Babu didn’t delay NOC to the petrol pump. So what made Divya humiliate the officer at the farewell function?
