Biker's neck gets tangled in rope at Thiruvalla, dies

ALAPPUZHA: In a tragic incident, a biker died after getting his neck tangled in a rope used for cutting trees in Thiruvalla. The incident happened in Thiruvalla Muthoor. Sayeed (32), a native of Alappuzha Thakazhi, died in the incident. He was travelling with his wife and two children when the accident occurred.

A tree near the premises of Muthoor school was in the process of being brought down using ropes. In the midst, Sayeed with his family passed through the route and the rope tangled around his neck. His wife and children escaped with minor injuries while Sayeed fell on the road suffering grave injuries.

His body is now kept in the hospital mortuary and will be given to the family after post-mortem. The police will initiate a case against the contractor and the tree cutters for their heedless conduct.
