Six booked over tragic death of biker in Thiruvalla

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police took six people into custody over the death of a biker in Muthoor Thiruvalla. Biker Sayeed's neck got entangled in a carelessly tied rope, used for cutting a tree on the roadside. The contractor and others who tied the rope across the road were taken into custody. Thiruvalla CI Sunil Krishna said that their arrest will be recorded.

The incident happened in Thiruvalla Muthoor. Sayeed (32), a native of Alappuzha Thakazhi, died in the incident. He was travelling with his wife and two children when the accident occurred.

A tree near the premises of Muthoor school was about to be brought down using ropes. In the midst, Sayeed with his family passed through the route on a bike and the rope tangled around his neck. His wife and children escaped with minor injuries while Sayeed fell on the road suffering grave injuries.

His body is now kept in the hospital mortuary and will be given to the family after post-mortem.
