PERTH: Australia lost an early wicket on the fourth day of the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Australia, which ended the third day at 12 for three, lost opener Usman Khawaja when they added five runs today. Khawaja, who had scored only four runs, was dismissed by Rishabh Pant off Siraj's ball.

But after that, Steve Smith, along with Travis Head, who came in, is slowly watching Australia recover. Australia has now crossed 50 runs. Captain Bumrah and Siraj have taken two wickets each for India. Australia need 534 runs to win.

Young sensation Yashwazi Jaiswal and King Virat Kohli hit centuries on the third day of the Perth Test. Chasing a target of 534 runs set by India, Australia were left in a big dilemma at 12/3 at the end of the third day of the match. Barring any miracles, India can clinch the first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy Test series today itself.

India, which resumed its second innings yesterday at 172/0, declared its second innings at 487/6 in 134.3 overs on the back of centuries from Yashwazi Jaiswal (161) and Virat Kohli (100 not out) and invited Australia to the second innings. Captain Bumrah declared the Indian innings after Kohli completed his century.
