BJP to capture Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram Corporations in next elections

KOCHI: BJP leader Sobha Surendran said the upcoming elections to the local self-governing bodies is her top priority. She said that her party will govern the corporations including Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur and everything is ready for it. She was speaking to the media before attending a party meeting in Kochi.

Whatever work the party's state unit has assigned to me, have done it well till date. The party in the Centre and the state leadership decide what work Sobha should do. I am an ordinary person, confident of finishing the work properly. The present thought in my mind is the next election.

The BJP has accepted opposition leader V D Satheesan's challenge. Will the UDF be able to create an additional councilor in the Palakkad municipality? The BJP is ready to take that as a challenge. We will govern the corporations including Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur in the next local body elections. The party is gearing up to make women as panchayat presidents and members in the upcoming elections.
