BENGALURU: The police have not been able to find Aarav Hanoi, lover and native of Kannur, who fled after killing Maya Gogoi, a vlogger from Assam. The investigation is focused on Bengaluru city and places where Aarav is likely to go. The police in two teams are investigating the case.
She was found dead in an apartment at Indira Nagar in Bengaluru on Tuesday. The police got information that the two were in a relationship for the past six months. Maya had told this to her sister. The police found that Maya had talked and chatted with Aarav on the phone for hours. It is also clear from the chats that there was an argument between the two at some point. The police concluded that a mutual disagreement may have led to Maya's murder. After completing the formalities, Maya's body was handed over to her relatives.
CCTVs are being checked as much as possible in the vicinity of the Bengaluru Majestic railway station, where Aarav was last seen. This is where Aarav switched off his phone. The Karnataka police, who visited Aarav's house at Thottada in Kannur yesterday, did not get any information that would help in the investigation. Only his grandfather, a cancer patient, was at home.
