Rahul, Priyanka stopped during Sambhal visit at Ghazipur border, workers stage protest

LUCKNOW: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and MP Priyanka Gandhi were stopped by the police at the Ghazipur border on their way to the violent hit Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. They were on their way to visit Chandausi, where the lawyers' survey was held, which led to tension in Sambhal. Rahul and his team were stopped by the police at Ghazipur, which is on the Delhi-UP border. With this, Congress workers protested in Ghazipur demanding that the barricades be removed.


An attempt was also made to stop the workers by placing police vehicles across the road. Rahul and his team left for Ghazipur, which is on the Uttar Pradesh border, at 11 am today. K C Venugopal MP and other Congress MPs from UP are in the group. With this, the Delhi-Meerut Road was partially closed. Muslim League representatives who were visiting Sambhal were also stopped a few days ago.
