ADELAIDE: The Indian batting line-up, which was filled with pink ball at the Adelaide Oval, is struggling against Australia. In the second match of the five-match series, India lost three wickets in just 10 minutes. Rahul (37), Kohli (7) and Gill (31) were dismissed in quick succession.
Skipper Rohit Sharma (3), who came into the middle order and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was dismissed on the first ball, also disappointed. There were signs that India would move ahead with Rahul and Gill playing well at one stage in the first session but the Australian pacers ruined that effort and turned the session in their favor.
India lost five wickets before reaching 100 runs. Starc took three wickets and Scott Boland took two wickets. Boland, who came in to replace Hazlewood, did well. India is currently leading the five-Test series 1-0. India has played four pink-ball Tests so far. They have won three of them at home and lost to Australia at the same venue. Australia has won 11 of the 12 pink-ball Tests they have played so far.
