CHITTORGARH: In a stunning display of devotion, a famous Shri Krishna temple in Rajasthan has received a record-breaking donation of a 1 kg gold biscuit, Rs 23 crore in cash, a silver pistol, and a silver bullet. The record-breaking donations were made at the Sanwaliya Seth temple in Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan. According to temple authorities, this is the largest collection ever received by the temple.
Every two months, on the new moon day, the temple's treasury is opened and the contributions are tallied. This time, the count yielded a staggering amount: Rs 11.34 crore in the first phase, Rs 3.50 crore in the second, and Rs 4.27 crore in the third. Temple officials revealed that a total of Rs 19.22 crore was received in cash, with additional funds pouring in through online donations. Although the temple had previously received silver locks, flutes, and handicraft items, the current donation has left the temple authorities stunned.
The Sanwaliya Seth temple is located 40 kilometres away from Chittorgarh town. This temple is a major place of worship for Vaishnav devotees. It is the second most visited Krishna temple in Rajasthan, after Nathdwara.
