After being in a relationship for years, actor Kalidas Jayaram and model Tarini Kalingarayar got married in Guruvayur Temple. He tied the nuptial knot with Tarini between 7.15 and 8 am in Guruvayur. Many prominent figures from the political and film fields attended the wedding.

Tarini of Nilgiris belongs to the famous Kalingarayar family of Chennai. Tarini, a Brahmin belongs to a zamindar family. Tarini studied at Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram School in Chennai. She graduated in Visual Communication from MOP Vaishnav College for Women in Chennai. Tarini was interested in modeling during her studies. She started modeling at the age of 16. Along with this, she also studied film production.

Tarini had said in interviews that she likes to spend time with her mother and sister at her grandfather's house in Nilgiris during her free time. Tarini's grandfather was a pilot in the Indian Air Force. He was also a Rajya Sabha member. She was raised by her mother after overcoming many hardships.

24-year-old Tarini is also fond of photography apart from modeling. Reports said Tarini's assets are worth crores through commercials, sponsorships and modeling. There are also reports that Tarini owns a luxurious house and an Audi car in Chennai.

Tarini was the first runner-up of Miss Tamil Nadu and Miss South India in 2019. She won the third place in the Miss Universe India competition in 2021. Tarini also participated in the Miss Diva Universe beauty pageant in 2022.
