Stabs woman in mid of road in Thrissur, accused surrenders in station

THRISSUR: A woman was stabbed by her ex-husband in the middle of the road at Puthukkad Centre. She has been identified as Babita. Her ex-husband Lesten of Kecheri attacked her Monday morning at 9 am. Babita is a cleaning worker at a bank in Puthukkad. He attacked her when she was going for work in the morning. He stabbed her nine times.

Auto drivers and passersby immediately rushed her to Puthukkad Taluk Hospital. Seriously injured Babita was later shifted to another hospital for better treatment. The couple got divorced three years ago. There were still issues between the two. After stabbing her, Lesten he surrendered at the Puthukkad station.
