Punishment for going to toilet; complaint that teacher pinched and injured private part of four-year-old girl

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A four-year-old girl's private parts were injured by a teacher in Thiruvananthapuram. A case has been registered against the teacher of Kallattumukku Oxford School in the incident. The principal informed that the teacher has been suspended.

The family alleges that the child was mistreated by the teacher after she was scolded for going to the toilet in the afternoon. When the child's grandmother took off the child's clothes and checked her, she saw a scar from pinching on the child's private part. Then the grandmother called the child's mother, who had gone to work, and asked if she had noticed any injury when the child was bathed in the morning. When the mother said that she did not see anything like that, the grandmother came to the school with the child and inquired what happened.

According to the family members, the teacher was seen hurting the child during the CCTV inspection. Later, the child was taken to a hospital and treated. The family filed a police complaint this morning. Fort police has registered a case against the teacher. The police said that they will take action including arrest after collecting evidence.
